I, a man, too suffer the degrading criminal act of rape from 1972. For forty plus years I hid my shame, anger, hatred, suspicions, anxiety, chronic sleep impairment & flattened effect because I beleived it was my fault. NOT TRUE!! They were plain and simple rapist. I hid under the blanket of chronic substance abuse and the degrading lifestyle attached. In 2011, I humbled my male ego and asked for help. I’m glad I did.

I hear you brother! And I am thankful for you that you spoke out in 2011 and today and be sure to know that the more you do-the stronger it makes you feel about yourself-because you are fighting back-and more bravely-because you stand in front…ahead of your attacker, ahead of your company, division, platoon, the commanders and everyone-to stand for yourself! And every other silent wounded veteran out there yet waiting to shout out as well. God bless you brother. I am here if you need me to be! peace
